The headline of this article is not referring to the chance of rain, but rather, the results of a recent survey of Hale Cook parents showing that 86% of them are extremely likely to recommend Hale Cook to a friend! And we recommend that you recommend away!

As this inaugural re-opening year of Hale Cook draws to a close, we want to express or sincerest appreciation for the vision and leadership that Dr. Green has provided our district over these years. He worked tirelessly to build a strong foundation for education in our city and laid a pathway to success.

Through his leadership, KCPS has hired and retained high quality educational leaders and teachers at our schools. We’re thrilled to have Principal Julie Lynch and her strong team of teachers leading our students’ educational experience at Hale Cook. In addition to the excellent educators we have on our team going forward, the re-engagement of key community partners such as business leaders, foundations, and families, has created a catalyst for continuous improvement across the entire district.

We wish Dr. Green all the best and are grateful for this time that we’ve been able to share with him.

Friends of Hale Cook stands ready to work alongside the KCPS school board, administration, community members, and families as we work through Dr. Green’s transition and the hiring of new leadership.
