We are a nonprofit organization that relies entirely on volunteer time, community partnerships and your support. Since 2009, we have worked to engage our neighbors in an effort to support a successful public school district with Hale Cook Elementary as a stellar model of parent and community involvement. We’ve been fortunate to have so many great supporters over the years and continue to depend on the great energy of our friends to make this a success. How would you like to get involved?

How can I help?
We have accomplished a lot on a shoestring budget and use each dollar carefully. Help us with a small donation of cash, goods or in-kind services to help us provide an inspiring learning environment. Click here to learn more about partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
We have planted raised bed gardens, an edible tree grove, and bramble bushes to complement a butterfly garden and other campus improvements. With the hard work of our community volunteers and donated resources, we have harvested hundreds of pounds of food to be donated to the Gillis Center. We are always looking for volunteers of all ages (and skill levels) to join us for our community garden days. Learn more about our community garden efforts here.
We are in need of support to help cover the expenses for our twelve raised garden beds at Hale Cook. If you would like to adopt a garden please email Friends of Hale Cook Board Member, Susan Stocking.
There are graduates over many decades that have attended Hale Cook Elementary School and we want to get know you! We are looking for your stories and school photos for our archives and would love to help you connect with a large community of former Eagles that you might know. Are you an alumnus of Hale Cook Elementary? Let us know!
Volunteer opportunities exist during the school day as well as before and after school. If you are interested in volunteering at the school, please contact Principal Lynch.
