Hale Cook Elementary School

School breakfast and lunches free for all KCPS students

Per an email from Principal Lynch, all students will be able to eat breakfast and lunch for free for the 2014-2015 school year thanks to a recent grant to KCPS.

We weren’t able to find any good details on the KCPS website, so here’s a link to a local news report.

Bike Week 2014: Walkability Survey, May 12 6PM-8PM

As a neighborhood public elementary school, KCPS anticipates many families will walk and bike to school as Hale Cook grows. To ensure safe routes to school in the adjacent neighborhood, we will be working with BikeWalkKC to survey existing conditions. This will enable us to develop a strategy for safe access to the campus in partnership with our neighbors.

Join us to celebrate National Kite Month on campus. Bring the kids, the kites and the camera — this is going to be fun!

Don’t have a kite of your own? Each child can design and build his or her own kite. Everyone is welcome, and children of all ages are invited to participate.
